Polaris Slingshot Front Exit Exhaust System made by Thermal R&D
Introducing the Thermal R&D Front Exit Ceramic Coated Exhaust System for the Polaris Slingshot. This front exit exhaust system is Black Ceramic Coated to insulate heat and protect your exhaust system against road dirt, grime and oils as well as a Brushed Stainless Steel option. The guys at Thermal have the secret sauce recipe for muffler sound, as we’ve tested over a dozen front exit exhaust systems over the years from various manufacturers and we’ve yet to hear anything that's as ear pleasing as this front exit setup. These guys specialize in sound quality, its what they’re good at. They create the exhaust and then test the harmonics with computer software and equipment until they virtually eliminate those annoying resonant frequencies that cause both drone and raspy exhaust notes…. and what we’re left with is an exhaust note that products a subtle, but sophisticated sound throughout the entire RPM range that puts a smile on your face every time you drive. If you're looking for a loud and obnoxious front exit exhaust, this is not the system for you. I would recommend this system for those of you that enjoy the sound of a well tuned exhaust system while also being able to hold a conversation in the cockpit.

So far it seems to cut down the heat in the passenger side about 25%. The sound emitted is better than stock. Had to purchase slightly longer springs. Not the easiest to install the springs. ACE had them in stock. So far so good.

Never disappointed
This exhaust was exactly what I was looking for. Deep beautiful growl. If you are looking for a loud exhaust do not get this one, however if u are looking for a nice low growl this is most definitely the way to go. I absolutely love it.

Ceramic coated exh R@D
Received in a timely manner. I have 1320 headers alpha cat delite pipe, the muffler was a lot louder than I expected, sounded like a farm tractor xyl did not like it. So I took it back off and installed with cat pipe, made the sound a lot more pleasing, xyl is now OK with sound. As far as instillation it is almost impossible to get the springs on I went to hardware store found some springs a bit longer and finally got those on, looks like the distance the springs have to go is a little feather on this muffler vs stock muffler. I have a spring install tool .

Wow! Produces a deeper sound!
This exhaust sounds awesome. There is definitely a difference between this one and the stock exhaust. I also have the 1320 performance header installed. The exhaust produced deeper tones, exactly what I was looking for. It sounds really good when you rev it up and get on the throttle. At an idle it does not sound much different than stock. If you are looking for a good sounding exhaust without having it screaming loud this is the one. Like I stated before you may need the 1320 header to get the better sound.

Just what I wanted.
I have always loved my SS but it didn’t sound like it looked. When showing a friend she asked me to start it so she found hers what it sounds like. I told hear it sounded like a 1964 Ford Falcon.

Now it sounds as good as it looks. It has that low growl that a muscle car has without being too loud. I did install headers when I installed the new ceramic muffler. I figured since I was changing one I might as well change the other.
