Polaris Slingshot Supercharger Kits
Superchargers are a mechanically driven component that is powered by a Slingshot's engine in order to increase horsepower. The supercharger is usually belt or gear driven in order to turn its internal turbines. This forces a large amount of air through the super charger, into a coolant system and then into the Slingshot's engine. More air means better combustion and better combustion means better fuel efficiency and more power output from the engine. Superchargers are typically light, easy to install and not very large, making them an excellent way to give a Slingshot a very efficient boost to its performance. Since super chargers operate based off of the engine's own power output this means they are reliant to the amount of RPMs a Slingshot is currently running at. Different superchargers are geared towards different response thresholds, meaning that different superchargers will add horsepower at different RPM's depending on their individual design. In general superchargers have a very quick response time once that RPM threshold is reached and so offer a tremendous feeling of reliable control over the Slingshot's speed.
