Polaris Slingshot Marine Vinyl Shift Boot by PRP / Status Racing
This shift boot for your Polaris Slingshot replaces your stock rubber shift boot with a weatherproof, marine grade, vinyl shift boot. Not only does it look like it came out of a German Sports car, but it works with most shift knobs and shift knob adapters. This is one of those cheap mods that adds a noticeable visual enhancement over stock.

Hello Dan, the boot is sold by itself.. but will work with every aftermarket shift knob we've tested. It also works with the factory shift knob.

How do you install. Do I just push it in or do I need to remove the center console? ( Jim C., 10/12/2015 4:08 am )

Hey Jim - The shift boot is installed by removing your stock shift knob (one allen head towards the front) and sliding that up. Once this is off, your stock boot will slide off after being "un-tucked" from the center console. Simply slide the new boot on and re-tuck. Reinstall shift knob and you should be good to go! Very poor fit My last boot which is the same type the piece that locks it into the transmission hole just deteriorated due to heat so I recently purchased a new one. The same type but it seems they changed the way they stitch them and the opening is way too small to allow for the insertion of the shifter without doing some cutting on the boot stitches and then re-sewing them together when you get the boot on. Not worth the trouble in my opinion. I feel it is a shame that PRP has changed its product so that it is no longer compatible with the shifters sold on Slingmods site.
