Polaris Slingshot Replacement Brake Light Switch
The “magnetic” brake light switch that comes with your Polaris Slingshot has been somewhat problematic for many Slingshot owners causing issues with cruise control, traction control lights, sticky brake lights etc. Now if these things are happening to you, you should “obviously” take your Slingshot in to your local Slingshot dealer and have one of their licensed mechanics diagnose the issue to make sure it isn’t something more serious than a “brake light switch”. If they diagnose that the problem is indeed a faulty brake light switch you may consider swapping your stock “magnetic” brake light switch for our “mechanical brake light switch”. The advantage to the mechanical light switch is that it executes the brake pedal ground circuit instantly with no delay, resulting in a faster reaction time in comparison to the magnetic switch that came with your Slingshot and it’s also a heck of a lot less temperamental.

TricLED Polaris Slingshot Replacement Brake Light Switch Features:

  • Uses existing bolt and OEM style  plug n' play connector
  • 10 minute install
  • No modification needed
  • Faster reaction time than a magnetic switch
  • Brake pedal grounds instantly

Great product
Easy to install, great instructions. I dinged it 1 star over the price. It's a simple switch and wires. I realize I paid for the convenience and there doesn't seem to be a competitor, but it just seems a bit steep.

Installation of switch was not a drop in.
I own a 2017 Base model and I had to slot the bracket to the end just to reach the pedal post that activates the switch. Also, for those that may not be familiar with electrical circuits, the instructions are incorrect. The switch is a "normally closed" contact. This means the switch needs to rest against the pedal post so the brake light does not stay on. Instructions read the pedal depressing the switch activates the lights.
