Polaris Slingshot Extended Range Hood Hinge Assist Kit by DDMWorks - 2015-2024 Only
If you've ever done work on your Polaris Slingshot engine bay, you've quickly noticed that the stock hood angle minimizes your ability to get in and work on your engine. This brilliantly designed kit from DDMWorks fixes that issue by replacing your factory hood scissor hinge with a billet aluminum extended range kit that allows your hood to open several inches further, to almost a full 90 degree angle. The kit also comes with a hood strut that allows you to slowly close your hood to avoid slamming the hood down each time. The kit has two fixed positions to allow you to open the hood angle from "mild" or "wild" depending on your intentions.

** Please note that the 2024 model does not use the gas shock. **

DDMWorks Extended Range Hood Hinge Kit Features:

  • Machined Billet Aluminum Hinges with Black Powder Coating
  • Extends hood rake allowing you to easily work under the hood
  • New aluminum hinges increase durability and increased strength
  • 2 hood resting positions allow for Mild or Wild view of the engine bay

worth it..helps so much
it really helps to open up that hood area when you install these brackets...you now have access all the way down to the horns/lights that you NEVER had before amongst other things...these should have been there all along ,,pricey but worth it..watch the video carefully, an its a 2 person job ONLY when removing the hood but def. needed when re-lining the hood up to re install the hood ,A 3RD PERSON for 5 minutes at that point ONLY would really help to re install the hood onto its new hinges.. ..otherwise its a 1man job for most of it once the hood is taken off,,get some BLUE loctite,..45 MINUTES-1 HOUR

2018 SL installation might be a problem
Looks Great and provides easy access. But, the hood strut is allowed to touch medal when hood in open (wild) position. I am monitoring this to see if rubbing or damage will occur with the strut or body metal.
