Can-Am Ryker "Keyed" Parking Brake Lock
If you own a U.S. model Ryker or Ryker Rally, one of the things you may have noticed on your bike is that the parking brake does not have a lock, yet it appears that the plastic is marked for one. This is because on international Ryker's the lock was required and here in the U.S. it was not. This leaves U.S. Ryker owners with a bit of a problem. Anybody walking by can simply flip your parking brake off sending your beloved Ryker barreling down the road. We felt this issue needed to be addressed immediately so we sourced a parking brake lock for our U.S. customers. This product includes 2 keys and stainless steel hardware to mount your Ryker Parking Brake Lock into place.

I had to replace the lock as I got the Ryker used with no key. It was easy to replace. It is slightly larger than the stock hole. But otherwise, no issues.

Just use the video attached to this product page instead of the written instructions. The video directions are very easy to follow, despite being slightly different than the product I received. There were only minor differences between the product I received and the one shown in the tutorial video, and the bolts are easy enough to identify using keywords/descriptions from the video. If you are the kind of person that NEEDS step-by-step directions with no variations, you may want to skip doing it yourself and just ask a handy friend or powersports dealer for help. Based off memory, you'll need at least: allen wrenches, standard Plastic puller to pull off three plastic body clips Torx bits (socket type makes it easier) Wrenches for tight space (adjustables are too bulky in my opinion) Loc-Tite optional to secure holder to frame Zip-tie to replace the one you'll have to cut off of the frame

Really? Can Am you couldn't have included this on the American sold units? For $12.99 this is a much-needed modification. I live in a "safe neighborhood" and still thought these were worth the $$. Maybe somebody, someday decides to be "funny" and roll off with my Ryker. How upsetting would that be? The install was easy and took about 20 minutes. It looks just like the factory did it.
