For the 2025 model year, Polaris redesigned the Slingshot exhaust system once again, relocating the factory outlet to the passenger-side body panel so exhaust heat is directed out the side of the vehicle. Excessive heat around the passenger compartment has been an ongoing concern since the Slingshot was introduced in 2015, and Polaris finally made a meaningful improvement. However, there is always room for improvement. Introducing the Thermal Research & Development Dual Rear Exit Sport Exhaust System, custom-engineered specifically for the 2025+ Polaris Slingshot. Designed to enhance performance, heat management, appearance, and sound, this cat-back exhaust system extracts maximum tone and flow from the 2.0-liter ProStar engine while delivering an aggressive, rally-car-inspired rumble without harsh cabin drone. This system retains the factory exhaust manifold and catalytic converter while upgrading everything downstream with precise fitment tailored specifically for 2025+ models. Constructed from mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel, it promotes smooth, unrestricted exhaust flow all the way to the custom Bugatti-inspired dual rear exit tips. The complete exhaust system is finished from front to rear in a high-temperature black ceramic coating, including the piping, muffler, and exhaust tips. This ceramic finish complements the Slingshot’s stealthy rear-end styling while significantly reducing radiant heat around the transmission tunnel and footwells. It also provides added protection against road salt, oil, gasoline, corrosion, and other environmental contaminants. Optional colored exhaust-tip inserts are available separately, allowing you to further customize the rear appearance of your Slingshot. Engineered with clearance in mind, the exhaust piping runs cleanly through the transmission tunnel without extending below the factory undercarriage. This ensures there is no loss of ground clearance, making the system ideal for Slingshots running the factory suspension, aftermarket coilovers, or air suspension. The dual-tip layout is also carefully spaced to maintain full clearance around the factory license plate location.
