For 2025, Polaris redesigned the Slingshot exhaust to exit outside of the passenger-side body panel underneath the splash guard, helping reduce heat near the passenger firewall. Thermal R&D took that factory layout and improved it with a compact stainless steel exhaust system that delivers their signature Thermal sound in a bite sized package. The system is finished in a black ceramic coating, which not only adds a stealthy custom appearance but also further helps to reduce radiant heat. Instead of simply building an exhaust and hoping it sounds good, they engineer, test, and tune their systems using computer-aided harmonic analysis and specialized equipment to reduce the annoying resonant frequencies that commonly create drone, rasp, and harsh cabin noise.
