A Pain to install but OK after it is in.
Let me start by saying the unit is in my Slingshot and as a short person it works well. If you are tall, over 5’8” it is not worth much. The stock seat gives you the most leg room. Also remember if you tilt the seat back you shorten the leg room because the seat back hits the back of compartment first. There are holes in the wrong place, bolts that are too short and nuts welded where they do not belong.and no instructions. SlingMods try’s to help with a video but they use a custom seat and it is different than stock. Plus the video cant make up for the manufacturing errors. I have built an instruction sheet and sent it to SlingMods.

Minor Modification
I bought Passenger Side Sliding Seat Bracket so my wife would be able to get comfortable, mission accomplished! The installation was straight forward (thanks to SlingMods video) except for a minor modification I needed to make to the seat back hinge that has the seat back release, there are nuts welded to the holes for the bolt that attach the seat back...why? they serve no purpose, the bolts that go through are fastened by the threaded hole in the seat back. I drilled the hole/nuts in the hinge because the bolts would not go through, once I did this I was able to attach the seat back. My seats are PRP, other than the seat back hinge modification, all holes lined up perfectly.

Not A good fit for 2021 R.
Should be a nice add, but lots of modifications needed. I have the tools needed to do the mods but this should say it is not a fit for the 2021 "R". had to cut off bolt lenghts for seat clearance and that was not enough clearance. then had to cut small holes in plastic seat bottom to clear the nuts at back of seat. There is a nut that they want you to reuse on the outside of the seat to reinstall, but it is spotwelded in place to the old seat bracket. So you have to cut it off. Also you have to cut off nuts on the new seat bracket as they are already on the seat. All in all don't buy if you have a 2021 "R"!!!

Prepare to do some modifications
It is a nice add on to my slingshot, and glad it's available, however..... I was very disappointed that after all these years of manufacturing the same product, it still has the same flaws as reported back in 2017.
And not to mention it was just re manufactured after quite awhile being out of stock. Here are the same issues that have been reported over 4 years ago... 1. hardware package short items. 2. Lags to fasten bottom cushion, wrong diameter and 3/8" to short. 3.Front outside mounting hole to frame was 1/4" off and had to be enlarged. 4. Back bolts on slider stuck up 3/8" and had to be cut off. 5. And after that I still had to cut out plastic on bottom of seat in 3 places for it to mount properly.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming Slingmods. They have great products and unparalleled customer service, but I think they should have a talk with Madigan about their quality control before purchasing more product.
