SE Performance Flip-Up Seat Support Bracket for the Can-Am Spyder RT (2020+)

The supplied mounting clips are garbage. I installed them, and the first time I raised the support, they pulled out of the mounting holes. I used other clips I had available and stainless-steel screws. They hold firmly and now the support functions correctly. I like the support.

Like so many owners, my seat strut broke the second time I opened my seat to refuel, maybe the fourth time I opened it.

I purchased the seat support bracket and while installing it, I noticed the seat strut did not break, the support screw attaching the strut to seat strut attachment, is what broke. It completely sheared the head of the screw causing the strut to detach from the seat’s plastic attachment.

I was able to remove the screw with pliers from the “sharp end” that was sticking out the opposite side. I replaced it with a little larger “hopefully stronger” screw with the same threading and a washer, so far it is working.

I will keep the recently purchased seat support bracket in place as a backup.

Much better than the shock that never lasts.

This device was designed to make the refueling of your Spyder less of a hassle. It flips up to allow your seat to rest on it as you refuel keeping the seat from closing or trying to close. When finished it easily flips back down and you are ready to ride. Nice product.

As advertised, simple fix that works well
