Works fine. I bought the unit with the shroud. However, the top bolt was such a pain, I ended up drilling out the original. The lock does fit solidly into place. I would also recommend getting the metal brake lever to go with this. The lock is solid, but it looks like someone could still just snap off the plastic lever.

This is by far the most exhausting and hard mod I’ve done. Removing the screw at the top is nearly impossible and removing the factory shroud was worse! I had to cut through it just to remove both.. I knew that since removing the factory one was hard, I knew putting on the new one was going to be a challenge. It was.. The only reason I was able to put it on was because it chipped.. Luckily the piece that broke off was near the top so it’s not noticeable at all. Adding the lock was easy, but it was the base that was a PAIN. You’re better off just drilling the factory base and buying the other lock they have available on here.. I do like the sleek design, I just don’t think this is worth the pain to swap out.
