The MadStad patented mounting system allows Spyder riders to adjust the height and angle of their Spyder F3 / F3S windshield resulting in a much smoother airflow, better wind protection and a more comfortable ride than any fixed windshield can provide. The base plate assembly attaches to the Spyder's metal framework, just ahead of the instrument cluster. The adjustable brackets attach to that base, then the shield attaches to those brackets. With the shield separated from the bike you can adjust it to your optimal height, angle and airflow. The system allows you to set the adjustable shield to your desired position while simultaneously allowing airflow under the shield to prevent buffeting for comfortable wind protection.

What size Windshield should I get for my Spyder F3 / F3S?
While the MadStad windshield systems are fully adjustable, we recommend referencing the sizing chart below so that your shield is relative to your height.

Measuring: You can use a tape measure and measure straight up from just behind the handlebar clamp to your chin level as you look straight ahead. Simply add 1" to that measurement and that should be the proper shield size for you. It's always recommended to round up if your measurement falls between two shield sizes.
